I smell trouble brewing

I’m really glad the pope has finally made a necessary change and has finally made it clear that all people are welcome in the Catholic Church. It’s more than most other religions can say.

not really

I mean he is more open minded than previous popes and this is better than nothing but I’m not buying him.

Eg. all he said about gay people was just something that is already in catechism of the catholic church and even my mother lectured me about it when I was a rebellious teenager. I mean gay people who believe in God and who decide to “follow his rules” are ok. But by following rules of god catholic church means sacrificing their lives and living in celibacy (or trying to live as heterosexual) because being homosexual is not a sin, only homosexual activities (including being in love or thinking about same sex in sexual way) are sin. He did not make a real progress, he just reminded something that was already there and forgotten by Benedict XVI who was openly homophobic.

If pope really cared about everyone as he says he could do so many things. He could go to Uganda or Niger where gays are abused and murdered on the streets in the name of catholic god, he could say “enough”. He could end AIDS epidemic in Africa by allowing condoms. He could donate money for poor and homeless, or ask victims of paedophile priests for forgiveness in the name of whole catholic church that has been hiding scandals for decades. He could stop bestiality of pro-lifers who in catholic Latin America country made a 13 years old victim of rape to carry the pregnancy. He could say women are equal and can be priests. He could do a lot of things he isn’t going to do. It’s not like, you know, a pope is helpless.

Can we talk more about paedophile priests who still found shelter in Vatican, while pope Francis was about to excommunicate a priest who openly supported LGBT people? like, really supported, not just said “you should find Jesus”

I am so glad that aliens would find place in pope’s Francis loving home

#not the gay aliens tho

^ FUCKING THANK YOU. Also I always tell people about the fucking bolded part and they give me some lazy answer. He’s not amazing for having a good PR team.

Well he’s better than Benedict but Benedict was a nightmare so it’s not even a hard job.

More frustrates me growing cult of JPII, now when he’s a saint we’ll never hear again about his opinions on AIDS in Africa, gay people or women, or anything I listed above

Agreed

This is how you know White people are responsible for the definitions in dictionaries.

Ok I also thing it’s inaccurate but really? Yeah, let’s stereotype everyone because all white people have no tolerance for spicy food, yay! For being anti-racist tumblr uses the words “white people” a bit often
